The location is fine - it's at Bomun Lake, not the city centre, but it's as conveniently situated as all the 5 star hotels around the lake, and buses and taxis are frequent. The hotel staff spoke little English, but were very friendly and helpful, letting us have the use of a kettle, toaster and bottle opener. There was free internet access in two of our three rooms.
The toilet in one of the rooms kept blocking - and no, we didn't put any paper down it.

Very good room, hotel quite close to Bomun Complex and Millenium Park. 10-15 minutes in taxi from Gyeongju downtown
No breakfast or food. Taxi didn't know where is located

The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. I thought it was a good value for the money compared to the other high priced hotels near Bomun lake.

Hotel Valentine was along the bus route which made it easy to visit the sites outside of Gyeongju. The staff was very kind. The room was clean and comfortable.

Good place if you have a car...
One night, when I arrived, the room had a cigarrette smoke smell. Since I don't smoke and the previous evening no such smell existed, someone (the room maid, I hope!) had been smoking in the room. I chosed this hotel because, in the range afordable to my pocket, it was the only one available. I think Booked.net should make an efort to increase its offer in this part of the world.

It was located in a quiet part of the city. Easy to reach the main road to catch a bus or a taxi. Not far from the "big hotels" (next : Hilton) : 500 meters The owner was very helpful for an internatinal telephone call to France and calculated only the real cost of the conversation (this is not obvious from many hotels).
I could recommend it to "backpackers" and tourists on a tight budget. Note that there is no breakfast (but a room where you can eat your own food and boil water). There are no coffee shops in the neighbourhood, so take something with you the day before. Only Korean spoken. Attention : the taxi drivers do not know the hotel. So say that it is near the Swiss Rosen Hotel, 100 meters further on the left handside. For food in the evening : I can strongly recommend a beef restaurant, on the first right corner on the main road (big parking in front). It goes by weight and the quality is outstanding (has also a certain price, but worth of it) : stricly Korean (so you sit on low tables).

Hotel Valentine is not a luxurious hotel. It had a clean room with computer/tv and minibar. It is 5 minutes uphill walk from the Bomin Lake and the busstop (bus 10 from Gyeongju and bus 11 from Bolguksa Temple). This makes it an ideal hotel for regional sightseeing, like every hotel at the lake...but cheaper. It doubles as a lovehotel but that's only because they have a day and a nightrate. Families also stay at the hotel. Like every Korean hotel, you pay in advance. On weekdays it's very quiet at the lake resort.

The hotel is really out of the way if you plan to visit the city. It's in fact set in a resort about 20-30 minutes away from the city and in fact it's on a side road that has no side walk. It's an ok place for the funds but really incoinvinient.

As long as the bathrooms are not refurbished, and the foul smell in the hotel corridors not removed somehow, I certainly would not recommend that place to anyone.

The computer was useless. We had no bathtowels. The room was a bit small. The control panel for the lighting was strange.
